Working Conditions & Physical Requirements:
Works indoors in Agency office and patient homes and travels to/from patient homes. Requires considerable
physical effort most of the day including kneeling, squatting, reaching, twisting, climbing, walking, exposure to
temperature and humidity changes and maximal assist in lifting and/or transferring of a 100 + pound patient.
Must possess sight/hearing senses or use appropriate adaptive devices that will enable senses to function at a
level required to meet the essential duties of the position. Must provide evidence of annual TB test and other
state-required tests or examinations. Be able to tolerate exposure to elements including, but not limited to, odors,
blood, body fluids and excrements, adverse environmental conditions and hazardous materials.

Summary of Essential Functions for the Position:
Responsible for promoting clinical services, clinical and regulatory standards. Provides clinical and
regulatory training, consultation, analysis and advice to hospice services. Ensures the agency meets clinical
practice standards, federal and state regulations and company policies and procedures. Monitors, consults,
and makes effective recommendation for modifications to existing processes, systems, policies and practices
which assure efficient, effective and clinical services performance.

A bachelor’s degree in nursing is preferred. Recent (6-12 months ) hands on nursing experience A minimum of five (5) years’ of clinical supervisory/management experience preferred, at least three
(3) of which must be in hospice Experience in policy and program development Ability to travel extensively and work on-site Current, valid state driver’s license, 24-hour access to a liable motor vehicle and personal auto
liability insurance coverage according to company policy. Must demonstrate commitment to hospice and philosophy of care. Excellent verbal and written communication skills to include presentation and training of employees. Knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid and Joint Commission regulations and related reimbursement
issues for hospice Must be able to maintain confidentiality regarding patient and company proprietary information
Must have the ability to relate professionally, positively and work cooperatively with other employees
at all levels.
Educational Requirements:
High school diploma or GED. Graduate of an accredited school of nursing with a bachelor’s of science
degree preferred.
Working Conditions & Physical Requirements:
Work environment is relatively busy and can be stressful at times due to deadlines and multiple tasks. The
position requires visual acuity and dexterity, sitting, standing, some pushing, pulling, and lifting up to 25
pounds. Auto related accidents possible due to travel.
